CONSTRUCTION

As regards construction and assembly, we carry out all types of medium, large and heavy metalworking of structures up to 200 tonnes, always working to our client’s plans.

The assembly process is supervised by specialised technicians, with reviewing of all measures to ensure each part meets the exact project specifications. This way of working is critical to minimise errors and optimise the structural quality of the end product.

WELDING

Welding is one of Calderería Gurelan’s strengths, with a capacity of 12,000 tonnes per year in a process essential to ensuring the integrity and structural strength of each project.

We have over 50 technologically advanced Miller welding machines, including MIG/MAG, TIG and submerged arc systems. This means we can work with a variety of materials and thicknesses, ensuring joints that withstand demanding conditions and that meet the durability and quality requirements in each sector and for each project.

Each welding project is carried out under strict quality controls.
We have a team of qualified welders with the experience to carry out any type of welding, including full penetration welds, with ultrasonic inspection.

Our processes are also certified under UNE-EN ISO 3834-2:2021, on industrial quality standards for fusion welding of metallic materials, providing assurance that each weld is safe and of long-lasting durability. This attention to detail ensures the assembled components will maintain their structural integrity over time, even under heavy duty operating conditions.

HEAT TREATMENT

We have a 12.85 x 6 x 4.5 m heat treatment furnace that
plays a fundamental role in production by improving the properties of metals through precise temperature control, uniform heating and controlled cooling.

With continuous temperature control, we achieve proper heating to ensure uniform material properties and reduce defects. It also improves mechanical properties by increasing hardness, strength and wear resistance.

MACHINING

We specialise in large-scale precision machining. Machining and milling are key services for the production of parts requiring extreme precision and specific finishes. With the capacity to machine parts up to 80,000 kg, and using our Soraluce FXR CNC milling machine and CAD/CAM programming technology, we can perform high precision machining on parts of any size and complexity.

We offer an especially important service to sectors that demand high precision components, such as the energy, defence and aeronautics sectors, among others.

Our machining team also follows strict quality protocols to ensure the final result meets client specifications and industry standards.

HYDRAULIC AND MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY

We work with hydraulic and mechanical assemblies. Our assembly team has the skills in custom assembly that enable us to adapt to each client’s specific needs, adjusting the configuration of the components and parts to meet each project’s operational and space requirements.

PAINTING

Our personnel and painting facilities enable us to finish pieces to the colours and textures called for by each client and project.

We use paint application techniques that optimise adhesion and protect surfaces against corrosion, impact and wear. This professional finish not only improves each piece’s aesthetic appearance, it also provides an additional layer of resistance.
